Healing Anxiety Via Natural Methods

Anxiety can be just as hard to deal with as neurological diseases. Once you are in the throes of an anxiety attack, your mind, body, and breathing will be affected in a negative way. Trying to calm yourself down can take time and you will still feel some physical effects after the attack has stopped. If you are invested in protecting your health through natural means, there are some methods that can aid you in transmuting your anxiety. Here are a few natural approaches to add to your life to stop anxiety attacks.

Get reiki massage for your body

The idea of a reiki massage is to clear the energy around you. If you have negative or tense energy in your body and surrounding your body, this can help relieve some of the energy that tends to lead up to anxiety attacks. Reiki massages relax the body, just like a normal massage, but also have the added benefit of energy exchange. Ask your Reiki practitioner to play soothing reiki music during the massage if you tend to have trouble relaxing or if you are extra wound up.

Start mindful meditation

Completely trying to clear your head can sometimes start anxiety. Instead of trying to make your mind devoid of thoughts, you can practice mindful meditation or guided meditations. These meditations will ask that you picture a certain scenario or place. This will allow you to calm down, center yourself, and still allow your mind to remain active. Keeping your mind occupied in a peaceful way is the perfect way to make sure that you can stave off anxiety attacks and think in a productive manner.

Try baths and essential oils

Essential oils such as lavender are known to help soothe the body and the mind. You can find lavender in a lot of lotions and baby products such as baby oils and baby wash. These help with getting the body prepared for sleep by inducing relaxation. This is a useful natural method for adults to calm down as well. If you have regular anxiety attacks, especially due to stress, you can go in the quiet and safety of your own home and take a bath. If you only have a shower at home, invest in a silicone popup bathtub that you can soak in and clean out when you are done. Add Epsom salts and lavender essential oil in order to de-stress your body and mind.
